Scottish branch of C&C based in Glasgow in Wellpark Brewery, which is one of Scotland’s oldest breweries.
It was founded in 1740, but through time it went through continual investment and now it is equipped with latest technology. It means that this historic site combines an inspiring heritage with newest facilities, which lead in the industry today.
Wellpark today is not only the brewery, it is a significant complex of brewing and operational facilities. The whole list of operations running there are brewing, kegging, bottling, canning, packaging, warehousing, distribution, recreational and educational services.
Production design:
There are more than 100 brands, which are produced or distributed using facilities of Wellpark. However, the main production and brand is, obviously, Tennent’s. The simply designed red “T” is the well known brand by almost everyone in Scotland. This is the brand with one of the oldest beer brand history in Scotland. In spite of this fact, Tennent’s brand concept is based on beer for everyone or even for a younger generation. The company launched Caledonia Best ale in 2011, which became extremely popular in Scottish market after couple years. One of the reasons of it was completely new brand concept and production process. Concept is based on naturally grown only in Scotland ingredients for this beer and unique process of production with applying of traditional technologies. In 2013 Tennent Caledonian experienced rapid 39% growth of Caledonia Best ale, but simultaneously 6% drop in Tennent’s lager sales.
