Tenneco Case Analysis

Vladislav,

I can respect your customers wanting a cost material breakdown, I do not divulge that information to any of our customers. Our product line is proprietary and will remain that way.
The Brown Company has enjoyed its working relationship with Tenneco for many years and we hope we can continue to do so. However, our price is final, as is the terms of 2nd month 2nd day. We cannot continue to carry Tenneco for 70+ days every time you order. The bottom line is Tenneco is the lowest producing bag and lowest volume user we have and we cannot continue losing profits. I cannot accept that all of my customers which order hundreds of thousands of bags a year pay a substantial amount more than what your increase came out to and Tenneco

The trial of Chief Oshkosh for the murder of Pawnee tribe member Okeguay due to a Menominee tradition of retaliation executions served less as an execution of justice and more as a drawn-out legal proceeding with no direct consequences and massive legal ramifications. This actual intention behind the trial becomes clear through the actions and statements of Judge James D. Doty. Baird records that upon his motion for final judgment in light of the conviction, “the Judge gave, at length, an opinion upon which facts states in the special verdict”. The Judge Doty proclaimed that “as the individual who had been killed by the accused was himself a Indian, and the accused was one of the nation amongst whom a custom existed, allowing the relation of…

On June of 1663, Anna Roleffes, otherwise known as Tempel Anneke, was arrested on suspicion of witchcraft in her village of Harxbuttel that sits near the city, Brunswick in the Holy Roman Empire (Intro. xiii). Peter A. Morton’s, The Trial of Tempel Anneke contains the transcript of her trial, in which she was found guilty and ultimately ended in her execution. Her case acts as an example, depicting one of the immense amount of witch trials that occurred in early modern Europe that led to over forty-thousand executed between the 15th and 19th centuries (O’Neill, Lecture, 10/31/17). Throughout this period, the attitudes involving witches were complex in nature due to the circumstances of society. Anneke’s trial exemplifies this by showing how the common people held attitudes of begrudging toleration towards witchcraft out of necessity, but were quick to alter their stance in regard to maleficium, while the secular authority exhibited complete bigotry towards sorcery shown by the…
