Being a Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Integrated Supply Management (ISM) double major, I have learned to appreciate the value of technology within the manufacturing workplace. Being a Bronco Force Consultant at Tenneco Automotive, I was able to use my knowledge from the classroom to solve real problems.
During my time at Tenneco Automotive, I used my versed background in CIS and ISM to major tackle opportunities. For example, I enhanced Tenneco’s current cycle count system to run on a user-friendly macro. Initially, the Cycle Counter “randomly” selected material by filtering those who were not to be ran that day, as it’s easier to track material not moving; an approach against the facility’s rules.
