Tenants have rights in New York City and across the country. We've heard the stories about a tenant living in an apartment with cold running water or no hot water to take a shower. Tenants complain about living in an apartment without heat or pest problems. The landlord refuses to listen to their complaints and fix the problems. Should the tenant simply live with the conditions? Well, the fact is that according to the law, tenants have rights. However, obtaining those rights in New York City is a different matter. Most are frustrated with the legal system and turn to a Tenants Rights Attorney.
