In “Everything You Need to Know About Writing Successfully - in Ten Minutes
,” Stephen King tells his high school story and twelve tips about how to writing successfully. King is a rebellious teen in high school. He causes trouble by writing an offensive newspaper targeting schoolteachers. John Gould teaches him do not use unnecessary words to write. King’s first tip for readers is people need talent to choose writing as a career. His definition for talented writers is people paying for their work. Another tip is focus on writing, don’t let reference books distract you; keep writing unless you need to use the bathroom. Always make sure you love writing. Don’t find agent unless you are making big money out of this career.
