Tell Me Three Things Book Analysis

Decent Essays
My favorite book to read is Tell Me Three Things By Julie Buxbaum. This is my favorite book because it tells a relatable story. Although it is fiction it could happen in real life to someone. The story tells about a girl that just moved to a new city because of a family death. She then moves in with her new Stepmom and Step mother, She has had worst first day at her new school and to make it worst she keeps getting anonymous emails from a so called student at her school. And instead of reporting the emails to someone she tries to figure out who keeps sending her emails. This might be the weirdest love story i’ve ever read but it's so addicting. Its an amazing read if you are looking for a new romance novel or if you are going for a long road

Owning books in Fahrenheit 451 is illegal, it lets people become free of thought to the other world. The day to day life of today’s society is to sit and watch television all day long, not only at home, even while the kids are at school. Guy Montag is a firemen that start fires instead of putting them out, “spitting its venomous kerosene upon the world”, burning books and the houses that hold them. Firemen will watch you if there are any red flags showing that you are hiding books. Ray Bradbury is accusing modern society of so much censorship that they are losing the value of reading books and free-thinking, going by a day to day routine, not changing anything they do because that’s what everyone was doing,Ray Bradbury doesn’t want to be forgotten so easily.…

Cam Jansen by, David A. Adler was the first book I was able to read on my own. It is about a girl who has a photographic memory, and can remember anything anywhere, pretty cool right! My dad would love reading this book to me, and after a while I would read it to him. I loved this book because I loved to solve the mysteries along with Cam Jansen. She also literally did everything, just like I wanted to.…

Rhetorical analysis of Stephen King’s, “Reading to Write” Novelist Stephen King branches off in this piece, to orchestrate the correlation between reading and writing, and to answer the question of if the two skills are related. He bases these claims off of his own personal experience as an author. The article is published at a high point of his career, now having enough respect as an author to instruct others on the craft. King’s purpose is to instruct the reader, more specifically, young writers. He wishes to inform them of the importance of reading, and how the things you read will affect what you end up producing with your own paper and pen.…

Vampirism: It is Only Human In How to Read Literature like a Professor, written by Thomas C. Foster, the point is made that vampires do not have to be the stereotypical bloodsuckers often encountered on TV and in horror tales. Vampires can be symbolized by regular humans as long as they have the qualities of a vampire. He does not mean fangs or bats; however, he means to say that vampires have certain goals and many characters in stories have these same goals. The people that symbolize vampires usually target young women, which are linked to their virginity; they seek to put their own nefarious goals above other people’s wellbeing, and seek to drain the life from people.…

My father was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at the age of 46. We spent a lot of time in the hospital and one of the nurses asked me if I had ever read Fly a Little Higher by Laura Sobiech. I had never even heard of this book before, so that day I went and bought it.…

Stephen King, in "Everything you need to know about writing", gives a brief background on his experiences and how he came to know this information. King first gives a brief summary of his own article. Before he lists the steps, he gives a small introduction about how this will only help if you really listen. Then, he gives a considerable number of ideas in list form of how to write successfully. My own analysis on King's paper is that it's about a little of his past and contains some really good ideas on how to become a successful writer.…

The Endurance The story of Ernest Shackleton and his crew’s voyage to the arctic was one worthy of countless volumes. Yet the defining moment of their epic journey, was not their voyage to the arctic itself, nor their amazing plans, but it was their survival through the “polar night”; a time of complete darkness and isolation. So what caused this crew to not just survive, but to thrive in spite of their frightening situation? In this essay I will argue three points for what I believe may have made all difference in the world for their survival.…

Her need for love becomes clear as the strange woman appears and Amanda’s troubles seem to stand by. This novel is executed well, and is able to very clearly show its original story and themes of truth, love, and change. The concepts might have been too mature for me to handle, but I enjoyed reading the novel very much. The novel was very thought provoking and it challenged me to think about a lot of the themes, more than any other novel has before. The characters and stories told in this novel created a feeling of learning new things and I believe that it is a wonderful story for those who like novels of this…
