There is more money and craft being used in television today than in any other time before. People have a craving for new, engaging works to be made at a faster rate thanks to the rise of online content providers, such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime. With the competition amongst themselves and amongst cable and premium networks, quality of programming has also risen. There is need for writers to produce new ideas that are rich and well-developed at a faster speed than ever before (“Television’s”). There are many new television shows that were only created out of this wonderful periods including dramas like House of Cards, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men plus many comedies like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and Review.
