It is common for humans to think that a random, unexplained accident could not just produce the beauty and intelligence we see in our universe. At some point, everyone has wondered how the earth was created and how the universe came to be. As Cleanthes says, we tend to see “the image of mind reflected on us from innumerable objects” in nature. The teleological argument compares the things we see in nature to that of what man can create. It states that the things built by man require a creator and the things in nature show a design from some man which must be God. The Teleological Argument proves God's existence because the complexity and uniqueness of our universe point to a creator. The Teleological Argument is often called the design argument …show more content…
Anthropic principles are specific examples of why life on earth would not exist if the universe was slightly smaller or changed. Scientists believe the universe is fine-tuned to support life. Anthropic Principles are made up of Anthropic constants which is a Greek word meaning “human or man”. Any slight change in the factors of our universe could fatally alter the conditions we need to survive. “The extent of the universe's fine tuning makes the Anthropic Principles perhaps the most powerful for the existence of God.” (Geisler, 2004, p.96). Norman Geisler is the author of the book I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist and he discusses what Anthropic Principles are. He adds “The Anthropic principle is just a fancy title for the mounting evidence that has many scientists believing the universe is extremely fine-tuned to support human life here on earth.”(Geisler, 2004, p.96) Dr. Steve Crane is an author and pastor who gives many scientific facts about how precisely the universe has to be designed. He talks about the power of storms and explains how at any given time, there are an average of 2800 storms in operation in the world, the energy amounts to 1,300,000,000

three arguments that can be used in relation to the existence of God, the cosmological, the ontological, and the teleological. All three arguments have something in common, they all believe that there must be something greater in order for human existence to occur. They all have different arguments, however, they all come to the same conclusion; that God must exist. It is possible to prove the existence of God solely by rational thinking because of the three common philosophical arguments; the cosmological…
