What is Telemedicine?
This website provides the meaning of telemedicine and the basic equipment’s required to implement telemedicine services. It throws light about the applications of telemedicine and telehealth, making distinctions among telemedicine and Health Information Technology (HIT). This website was useful to me in understanding what telemedicine is about and the services provided by telemedicine, including primary care and specialist referral services and remote patient monitoring, especially useful for homebound patients. Even though, this does not provide data related to Telemedicine research, it is very useful for the novice to understand the concept, application and advantages, and about the patients’ demand as telemedicine technology
