A hero prevails as a person who is noted for courageous acts or nobility of character. Although people may believe Telemachus is favored by the gods, brave, and even caring, Percy Jackson exceeds all of these things because he is not just helped by the gods but given powers from them, is much more braver than Telemachus, and will do anything, absolutely anything to save his friends and family.
