Did you ever have that one assignment that you always dreaded to do? In one students seventh grade year, students at Risley Middle School had that problem. The students had a computer program we used once a week. It was called TeenBiz. The program was based on the student’s reading level, and they would raise it a little bit to advance the student’s reading. They would post an article, which was written in many reading levels, for everyone to have the same story but it would fit their reading levels. It was mainly a comprehension test. The students would read the passage, and then answer eight questions. That sounds pretty respectable, right? The students didn’t see a problem with it either, at first.
