Teenagers Vs Toddlers

Decent Essays
Would you rather have a teenager or a toddler? To some people, both are wonderful to have. For others, they may not be that great due to several reasons. Both teenagers and toddlers are actually similar to each other. It might depend on if they are moody, smart, or needy. First off, both teenagers and toddlers are moody. Teenagers’ moods change quickly depending on what happens in their life. For instance, if something goes wrong, they are instantly moody. For toddlers, they are moody when they don’t get their way. They will usually scream or pout about it until they do get their way. They are both smart about how to get away with things which brings me to my next point. Teenagers and toddlers are smart too. Teens are smarter maybe because they are older and have been in school longer. Plus, they are smart about how to play games to try and get out of something. Toddlers can also be smart by learning new things everyday. For example, if something bad would happen, toddlers can sense that something is wrong by crying or maybe even talking depending on how old they are. From being smart, they say they “need” things which is my last topic. …show more content…
Teens can be needy with money. They want or need a lot to either fit in or just have fun. For example, most teens would say they need the newest electronic or gadget when they really don’t. Toddlers are also needy with especially toys. They think everything is theirs from the beginning. For instance, toddlers always say, “mine, mine”, for almost anything they see or want. In conclusion, teenagers and toddlers are alike, but sometimes they aren’t as fun as you think they are. Even though they can be moody, smart, and needy, they actually can be fun to be around

Whether at a job, at home, or in between, any experience can be just as educational as a class at a university. In “Blue Collar Brilliance”, the author, Mike Rose, uses anecdotes from his family’s experiences to prove how although his family members might not have had much formal education, they all were “intelligent” due to the lessons they learned at work. Given my family’s own experience, I can attest to that. Throughout all of the generations of my family, half have attended a traditional university, while the others went to work or had a different experience, some even had both.…

Once in the sixth grade my teacher handed back some reading test that the class did poorly on and told us that if we would spend even half as much time reading a book than we do using a computer, then our performance in the class would greatly improve. A few days later our teacher got a new projector to replace the old one that was broken and he spent a good twenty minutes trying to set it up before he gave up and asked our class if anyone knew how to set it up. One girl stepped forward and in about ten minutes she got the projector working and we were on our way with our lesson. The same adult who indirectly told our class that we weren’t smart because we didn’t read took twice as long trying to set up a projector as a sixth grader did. This is the type of…

From Toddlers to Teenagers In this our modern age, young girls who are into Disney and like playing with Barbie dolls want to be the prettiest of all them all, and if this continues, it becomes problematic because they no longer want to be only the prettiest of them all, but the sexiest. In the 1970s, on the Brady bunch which was a mainstream TV show back then, teen and pre-teen girl were still dressed and portrayed as cute, not hot and adorable, not sexual. Since teens now are trying to figure out how they are and how they want to be seen by the world, I feel like the culture shapes them. When teens listen to songs like Katy Perry’s California girl, they all want to be like Katy because that is who they look up to are their idol.…

This may sometimes cause clashes as young people are trying to develop their own personality and space. In this period, young people also want to be independent and may test the boundaries at home and even at school. As the transition to adulthood is not complete, young people will also at times revert to ‘child-like’ comments, activities and games.…

Teenagers are just juveniles, right? Then why did they gain all the names like brats, trouble makers, and so on. It may be because of their risky decisions like in the poem Icarus and Daedalus, where Icarus takes a choice to fly close to the sun. Nevertheless, can’t the problem also be the overcautious parents, because according reverse psychology everyone wants to do something that people tell them not to do. This not only leads to danger, but also unhealthy relationships because of the lack of good communication.…

The only real difference is that the middle age woman has years of experience and even though her body might not have ever been through this exact type of feeling, they still have the knowledge of how crazy life’s tenures can be. As for a kid they have no past experience with any of what is going to happen next in life. It is completely normal for a kid to act out on his emotions because sometimes they don’t see the effect they have on the outside world. If only there was a designed person that has been through these emotional changes to help kids out who are struggling to compensate.…

A recent study on social and emotional risk and protective factors that predict early school problems or success found that "children who do not begin kindergarten socially and emotionally competent are often not successful in the early years of school—and can be plagued by behavioral, emotional, academic, and social development problems that follow them into adulthood (U.S Department of Health and Human Services). " Creating a positive social relationship is an important outcome of preschool, possibly more important is avoiding social isolation. Research shows that it is possible to predict as early as preschool the kind of children who will have social and academic problems, because they are already either overlooked or casted off by other children. To develop positive social relationships it is important to build relationships with parents so that children feel safe, secure, and comfortable with their teachers. Provide opportunities for children to work and play together.…
