Did you know “About 20 percent of all teens experience depression before they reach adulthood?”(Shroff, Amita) Teen depression should be taken seriously because it could lead to other mental illness. Ignoring this good leads other mental illnesses. Also it could lead to Suicide or violence. a study on depression showed “a 35% increase of reports of major depressive episodes between 2005 and 2014.”(Katie) This is why teen depression should be taken seriously.
Usually between the ages of 15 and 30 depression starts to appear. the symptoms of depression are “irritability, fatigue, changes in sleeping patterns, changes in eating patterns social withdrawal, and anger.”(shroff) there are a lot
