Teenage Brain Research Paper

Many adults always think they know what is wrong and right for teenagers these days, but since a adults brain and a teenagers brain are so diversely different how can they. The brain that a teenager has is very different from an adults, for an adult's brain has matured greatly from recent years since an adult's brain is so diversely different why is it that adults have the right to tell teenagers what to and what not to do. Teenagers go threw many stages of thinking and adults do not know what to do because they think differently from a teen. Thinking for a teen is very different from an adults, for adults have many sections of the brain connected a bit more and have matured very greatly from their present years. Debra Kelly wrote an article, “The Difference Between Teenage Brains And Adult Brains”, that clearly states that a teenagers brain is distant form an adults brain, “... teenagers lack many of the nerve connections that tie the frontal lobe to the rest of the brain…” (par. 1). Adults have matured more and have more nerves that connect the brain together to think more clearly this means adults do not think equal to a teen, so why do adults think they know what is bad for teenagers. …show more content…
Adults should have the right to tell teenagers what is bad because they are more wise but they don’t know what a teenagers thinking. For adults it's very hard to tell what a teenagers thinking and all they can do is give advice like Meghan Vivo’s article, “10 Things Teens Wish Their Parents knew”, she writes, “By setting and enforcing rules, parents give teens predictability and structure, as well as a way to combat peer pressure”, (par. 5).
