The definition for teen suicide used today is “The tragedy of a young person dying because of overwhelming hopelessness or frustration.” Teen Suicide is a very dangerous and common form of death for teens. Teenagers who are going thru a hard time in their lives feel as if there is no escape or end to their problems. Peer pressure is one of the biggest things that are attacking teens around the world today. This is a very serious problem and should not be used as a joke or laughing matter. Teen suicide is the third leading death in the United States. The teen suicide age ranges from 15- 24 year olds. A teen committing suicide is not only ending their life but also affecting several lives that are left behind. It’s said that for every completed suicide 15 of teens are trying to end their life. Teen suicide is actually higher when firearms are present and visible to the eye without security. 60% percent of all suicide is done with a gun. In cases teens will pull the trigger when their family aren’t home and feel like the world is ending. Another, form of teen suicide is over the counter drugs. You have no protection behind the computer screen whatever is said and posted can ruin your life in the moment and make you feel like there is no returning back. Bullying on social networks is not a joke and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Teens who spend more than 5 hours on social network are at a 5% chance of killing themselves. Another, fact is that there is a “clear relationship between bullying and suicide thoughts.” Please if you know anyone that is going thru a hard time be someone they can lean on and talk to you about their problems.
