Ted turner was born November 19, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Growing up Teds father owned Turner Advertising. The business was lucrative. His father earned a substantial amount of money from selling billboard ads. However his father suffered from mood swings, which caused him to vent his anger out and physically abuse ted. Ted attended McCallie an elite boarding school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1960 Teds father made him the manager of Turner advertising’s Macon, Georgia, branch.
