While watching Rory Sutherland’s TED talk there was one quote that stood out the most, “We need to spend more time appreciating what already exists, and less time agonizing over what else we can do...to make new things familiar and familiar things new.” My interpretation of the quote is that new changes will become familiar in time and they remain new to everyone who does not know or understand the circumstance. We spend so much time trying to stay away from change that when new ideas or situations appear we rather stay with the old than increase our knowledge.
