Born in Burlington, Vermont in 1946, Theodore Robert Bundy was a wicked child of Louise Cowell which during the next few years they spent living with Louise’s parents. There were speculating to believe they led Ted and others believe that his mother was his older sister. Others believed it was during this time that Ted had been traumatized by his aggressive grandfather. It was not until at age four Ted and his mother moved to Tacoma, Washington where Ted’s mother went on to marry an army cook, Johnnie Bundy. Bundy was so fed up the fact that he didn’t have such a rich respectable social lifestyle. It wasn’t long until Ted began to develop a deep obsession into the world of sexual fantasy that became increasingly violent in nature. He began to consume large quantities of pornographic material depicting sexual violent acts. Bundy described pornography as a vicarious way of experiencing what his peers were experiencing in reality. He implicit a sinister state of mind that brought up the use, abuse, and the possession of women as objects. …show more content…
His hunger for women and combining his appetite for alcohol, gradually was preparing himself to begin his murderous killing career. He was in the Boy Scouts where he worked as an assistant program director at Settle Crime Commission, where he ironically wrote a booklet for women on rape prevention.
