Ted Bundy Ethical Issues

Ted Bundy can be totally identified as a serial killer since he killed more than two people in different time and he even travelled to different places to find his new victims. For Ted Bundy’s case, there were not specific policy implementation existed toward it. Although there are some policies that can reduce crime, I do not think any of them will work toward this case. “The three policies we have investigated are: the decriminalization of victimless crimes; a program of full employment-meaningful and decent paying; domestic disarmament.” ( Amitai Etzioni) As we mentioned before, Ted Bundy can be identified as a person with anti-social disorder since he looked handsome and charming and he was very intelligence. Once Ted Bundy started his crime, he started to kill people, especially female. So the first implementation: the decriminalization of victimless crimes cannot really do a job at his case since no punishment can be made based on him before he started to kill people. Also, Ted Bundy was very intelligence and he had degree with his college, so the motivation of his murders did not begin with lack of money or being unemployment. Ted Bundy also travelled to different places to keep his serial killing continued, so the use of firearms did not influence his killing that much. According to analysis of his behavior, these policies could not deal with Ted Bundy’s case. From my perspective, it is more important to focus on his motivation of killing people, especially he killed plenty of women and also pay attention to his childhood
