The British have a strong past with impressment, where they kidnap American sailors and force them into British servitude. Also, Britain created a law (after America’s Independence) in which American trade ships have to doc in Britain and pay tax before trading with other European countries. America has been trying to expand West since before the Tecumseh’s War. During the War of 1812, America fought against Great Britain, Canadian Colonists, and Native Nation over Canadian Land. The United States most memorable event was when the British Army invaded America, attacked, and burnt down Washington D.C. Britain’s plan was to take over major American cities.
