Technology Artifacts In The Classroom Essay

My cooperating teacher uses five main technology artifacts daily in the classroom. These technology tools assist her in classroom instruction, classroom management and communication. She makes use of these technology artifacts as much as possible. These technology tools also assist in creating an intricate learning experience for all students. Incorporating technology daily into the classroom instruction and management assures all children are receiving the best education possible.
The first artifact used in the classroom is a Smart Board. The teacher uses a Smart Board during the math and literacy block. Often times, the students are using the Smart Board more than she is. Throughout the whole lesson, she has students coming up to the board continuously. The students are always engaged when the Smart Board is incorporated during these lessons. Depending on the topic, she sometimes uses the Smart Board as a screen and has Youtube videos for students to sing along with for academic purposes. I like the idea of a white

I noticed the computers are used during center time every once in awhile. On the computers, students access ABCya! and Starfall along with other interactive games and activities. There are three students that my cooperating teacher considers struggling. During interactive read alouds or review lessons, she puts them at the computer. They normally participate in activities on Imagine Learning. Since the students struggle with the same concepts, they are instructed to stick to the same interactive activities. These activities mainly cover alphabet recognition and counting skills. She also uses her computers to research new innovative ideas for her classroom. Lately, she has been using Teacher Pay Teacher. This site allows her access to teaching material for free or for a reasonable price. I had the opportunity to use this site while I was in her class to make new name tags for the
