One the biggest creation of this century is called “Myspace”. The social media site started in 2003; individuals were able to connect with others all around the world, customize their profiles, and add music to their profile. This particular site started to get everyone interested in social media. Three years later the social media site known as “Facebook” was created. The site was similar to “Myspace”, but more advance. On the site you were able to find individuals all around the world if they had an account created. Benefits could be socialization with peers about unique things, learning opportunities from peer, understanding importance of things such as healthcare, and political information to ensure that they are aware. Detriments could be cyberbullying one another, sexting, expressing depression over the multiple sites, and influencing others to buy different products being advertised. I honestly feel that a person social and personal skill could be affected depending on how they take advantage of all the social media sites. For example, everyone knows that Political stand points are views that most should pay attention to; since the individuals running plan to take over the economy. In today’s society it is likely that most young adults have some knowledge on political parties due to them spending tremendous amount of time with different media sites (Yang, Pg.1).
