Technology has greatly changed our lives and the people around us. Millions of individuals around the world have benefited from the advantages of technology, which, on the other hand have provided endless opportunities in almost in any field in our daily lives, let it be in education, socializing and transportation among many others. Most importantly, technologies have simplified our daily tasks and offered access to other vital tools that advance human’s generation to the next level. During that time, extreme usage of technology has its disadvantages as well. We like to send instant communication to acquaintances, rather than meeting them face to face. We fail to acknowledge that twenty text messages can never be the same as spending an hour chatting with friends over a cup of coffee (Harkema, 2000). Sending cute emoticons or emoji’s is never the same as sharing huge grin or seeing the smiling faces of our siblings. There is a new term that has been introduced known as sensory dynamism which is closely related to our perception. Previously when we look at our environment, we have the ability to distinguish millions of variances such as feeling, sound and colour among many others. Today, when we simply look at iPad or tablet, human’s awareness skills are restricted to merely answering text messages and email. Not only parents everyone should have such responsibilities, let it be the teacher, grandparents and so forth. Today, many computer labs at schools have imposed restrictions on the sites that can be accessed. This ruling can also be extended to households, by either adding privacy settings or constantly checking the search history to know the sites that the children have been frequently visiting. Responsibly using technology is very important. There is no need to ignore the benefits that technology have to offer, instead, talk to children, teenagers and young adolescents about setting their Internet footprint and the penalties of depositing inappropriate information into the World Wide Web (Harkema, 2000). Create awareness and encourage users to chat complicated circumstances that we may come across online and help to come up with a positive
