Technology is growing rapidly throughout the world affecting the education system drastically. In today 's society, students have an option to receive an online degree or get an traditional education. However, these are two different things and require different standards. The differences between traditional versus online education is flexibility, communication, and discipline.
To begin with, traditional education requires transportation and daily commitment because on campus courses take place during the daytime or evening so students would have to make more time in their schedules. Online education is more convenient; students can mold time for both class and their family as opposed to having to attend lecture at a specific time. This type

Throughout the years, I have learned my ability to give accurate information about certain situations such as; social, domestic, informal. For instance, I was watching CSI series on television and was able to give a problem and solution to the scenario. This showed the passion that I had for the criminal justice program and I think I should develop more broad understanding of the criminal law and criminal justice system.I would like to develop better interpersonal and communication skills so that reports might be written for state approval with future clients. I want to be able to work with criminal justice professionals to be successful building a solid foundation in interpersonal skills. Another skill I need to develop is the proper protocol of the law and its amendments. For instance, if I am working on a murder case I would need to know what to say and what not to say to the suspect. This will prevent from losing my job or causing my law degree to be revoked. There are a lot of skills that I think I need to develop to help me on my academic journey such as; strong oral communication skills so that I could write accurate recommendations, preset findings, and …show more content…
I believe that a more effective way of accomplishing your goals would be to do one thing at a time and avoid multitasking because it distracts a person way of thinking. I can avoid multi tasking by completing one task at a time. For instance, if I have a client who has a murder case and needs a problem and solution before a certain date; my job would be to make sure I complete this case before going to the other case. This would keep me from completely losing the concept and focus of my client murder case and being pleaded guilty in court. I think that every professional in Criminal Justice should take one task at a time because this program is very time consuming and it takes alot of critical thinking. Being a professional of the criminal justice field requires one to pay close attention to every detail and to be able to understand certain cases such as; domestic, informal, etc. I can utilize and develop my benefits of focus by avoiding multi tasking and dealing with one thing at a time. I think that if I practice this then I would not only solve each case well but also focus more on its main focus and how to help the client. This will be beneficial to both the criminal justice program as well as the future clients that will be involved in my near

A well investigated and thoroughly documented case will result in a successful conviction in court. An investigator is usually called to respond to a crime scene and his field notes and report are important in the prosecution of a case. The investigator has to be well organized and be able to bring the crime scene together so that he/she can create a “big picture” (Lyman, p.32). Every investigator has to develop their own note taking system. A good note taking system can help the investigator but he/she must be careful to not use shorthand because it would be difficult for others to understand.…

I also hope that my future education will help me help the police, judges, and lawyers put the right people behind bars making sure that the person behind bars is truly the perpetrator of the crime and not an innocent victim of accusation themselves. By taking courses that are necessary for attaining a major in Psychology, a minor in Sociology and a Certificate in Criminology, I hope I will be able to gain the knowledge necessary to help interpret the motivation behind the crime, in the process, making sure the accused is truly the accused, as well as help the perpetrator of the crime understand their actions and counsel them if necessary. The courses further allow me to be able to interpret the victim’s side of the crime and counsel them through what they have just experienced in the hopes of preventing a life of consistent trauma, as well the ability to communicate with both victim and perpetrator. By taking the courses I will only gain the knowledge necessary, but by taking part in internships such as Association for Individual Development and Adult Day Program, I will gain the experience necessary in dealing with victims of crimes and their families as well as working with inmates who have mental or cognitive disabilities and themselves cannot fully understand the crimes. This experience is going to be crucial to me, just like Stevenson’s internship experiences were to him.…

A result from that, they believe, is that it would lower crime. An attorney, Steven D. Stewart had stated, “The inevitability of a mistake should not serve as grounds to eliminate the death penalty any more than the risk of having a fatal wreck should make automobiles illegal” (ProCon). He is referring to if the judicial system makes a mistake by sentencing an innocent person to death. Everyone makes mistakes so in his mind, the death penalty cannot be taken away or else many other things that could possibly cause mistakes should be taken away. On the other hand, the con side believes that the death penalty should be removed from the judicial system.…

The death penalty also solves the problem with parole and criminals who escape. When a criminal kills and is found guilty the death sentence should be given to them. When they are given the death penalty they will not have the chance for parole. These murderers will also be under maximum surveillance before their death and therefore they will not be able to escape. If we let murderers escape or get out of prison we give them the change to kill again.…

Students just have more time to complete the work and are able to comprehend the work they are doing instead of rushing to turn the work in on time with online compared to the traditional way. Another reason why online college is a better choice than traditional is because with traditional college, you have to commute back and forth to the campus rather than just waking up at home and logging into your classes. “Proponents of the death penalty say it is an important tool for preserving law and order, deters crime, and costs less than life imprisonment. They argue that retribution or "an eye for an eye" honors the victim, helps console grieving families, and ensures that the perpetrators of heinous crimes never have an opportunity to cause future tragedy”(ProCon.org, 2016).Taking each point as it applies to the pros and cons enables the person to understand the debate.
