Do you believe that an average teenager sends about 2,000 texts a month and spends about 44 hours a week on their phones a week on devices? In the article Is “Technology Our Friendships?” by Lauren Tarshis she brought up a compelling argument I learned that a lot of technology could be destroying our friendships instead of helping them. Kids should notice that social media comes with consequences. Experts worry that kids our too busy contacting online that they are missing out on real genuine friendships that you would tell your secrets too.Too many kids spend too much time time alone on their devices when they should be hanging out having real fun with each other.
