Gaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management is an important step on the way to expand my technological knowledge and career opportunities. Going by the recent trends, most multinational corporations are looking for tech savvy employees and leaders. These are the people who can lead their businesses to compete in today’s extremely competitive, fast-paced, technology-based economy. Most importantly, this degree will provide me with the opportunity to advance from my current position into a more demanding role. Understanding the core business functions would enable me to drive enhanced business performance by utilizing technology.
My career aspiration is to move up the management chain in my current company, Best Buy.

This is because I am the first member of the family to attend college. This gives me great incentive to work hard and succeed in the program. By doing so, I would set precedence for my future family generations, to follow in my footsteps. Apart from working at Best Buy, I am also committed to giving back to my community. During my spare time, I enjoy helping others and doing community service events. I believe Will Smith said it best when he said, “If you are not making someone else’s life better, then you’re wasting your time.” Another way a degree in Technology Management will benefit me, is it will prepare me to be able to achieve another dream of mine, which is creating a global organization dedicated to helping others. My degree will teach me the technical skills necessary for the creation, maintenance, and funding of the organization. Over the last few months, a friend and I have been brainstorming and creating ideas for the goals of our new group, which will be called A.N.G.E.L.’S. This stands for A New Generation Expressing Love. The primary goal consists of providing aid to people who need it most. Whether that is locally in our community passing out food and clothes to the homeless, or traveling to another country to assist after a natural disaster.
