ENGL 101A
Technology Is My New Paycheck
Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to work. I did not find school interesting at all and never wanted to attend. No matter what anybody did or said, I just would not change my mind. I had my mind made up. I hated school so much, but I knew that I would need at least a high school diploma. So I headed to the local bookstore, purchased a large GED book and studied like my life depended on it. Two months later, I took the test and passed with a higher score than what I expected. I was impressed that the campus café had a Starbucks in it. There was also a food court like section with fresh salads, sandwiches and fruit bowls. French fries, soda, donuts, any food item you could think of; healthy or otherwise, was in that café. My favorite part was the pizza stand. I was fascinated by it all. This was truly a confirmation that I was making the right decision by investing in my education. I was no longer spending my time looking for dead end jobs. I was now working on my
