Technology is helping the education in many ways, it is making the learning easier for the students and the teaching faster for the teachers. In other words, technology is very useful in education. Cloutier & Taylor (2013) show that students say that they learn better when they use technology for education, because they can use it not only in the classroom also outside the classroom by sharing the information with other students. Moreover, students say that technology made them take the teachers work outside the classroom, because they are teaching each other using the technology and the Internet. Else, they say that because of the technology people have now, “…learning can cross oceans, span countries, encompass the world” (Cloutier & Taylor, …show more content…
But this effect is depending on how the students use it in the classroom. Some of students and teachers think that the laptop is positive in learning and the other thinks that it is negative. However, the studies and the researches are showing that the laptop has the both effect and it will affect the students in the way they use it. Faisal, Ahmad & Ansari (2015) say that computers helped them in the Dental study by providing all the access they need to learn. They meant that computers with all the programs that on it is helping them to learn the hard lessons and keep them understanding the lectures. In other words, computers have a great access to the learning materials that provide for students’ easy way to learn and understand. Tallvid, Lundin, Lars and Lindstrom (2013) agree with Faisal, Ahmad & Ansari and they add that the laptop which is connected to the Internet give few opportunities to use them in the classroom. Kristen E. Murray (2011) Associate Professor of Law, Temple University, Beasley School of Law, said that “laptop provide substantial educational benefits”. In other words, the laptop is offering the fundamental of education benefits. To be clearer, laptop have a lot of benefits for the students in the classroom. The laptop is helping the students in many ways in the education and learning in the classroom. One of the ways is to take notes, students prefer to take notes on their laptop because they are faster in typing than in handwriting. Spies, Alan (2010) said that students use the laptop in the classroom to take notes which is faster than writing. They said, for example, that they took so long to take notes during the class and because of that they didn’t have time to connect with the instructors.
