Technology Influential to Gender Roles in Todays Society As the world has strived to be more successful during the years, it has brought along a wide range of changes for each gender, more particularly women. These drastic, yet smooth changes have become more of an improvement in which our society reaps all benefits. Women have experienced a change in technology and the workforce as well as becoming more socially active. The effects of these modifications are limitless in how much positive it brings as a whole.
Technology seems to be on a never ending cycle, changing day to day. Flip-phone to iPhone, Computer to Laptop; the uses of continuous products enhance the way life transitions. Females have taken the opportunity to get involved in the movement, such as for the uses of protection, organization, and connection. The newer smart phones have emergency service features such as police, fire and rescue, and EMS which help with being safer and ensure that it is easy to continue without a disruption in life. Laptops and iPads ensure that no matter what the situation may be, at the click of a button or tap of a screen productive activities are endlessly at the fingertips of the user. Women that did take on the load of a mans job did not receive the same benefits as men. As society's views have changed, females have been more than ready to take on the same task as the opposite gender and apply their knowledge in the form of hands on. Equality in the form of payment has become a candle in the wind now that certain wages apply to equal positions. Many women have taken their useful abilities and have had the initiative to climb all the way to the top of the ladder, becoming CEO's of what once used to be associated with being a predominantly male
