1990’s Technology In the 1990’s, there were a couple events that influenced the technological growth of the United States of America. One of these such events was the Oklahoma City Bombing on April 19, 1995 in which an acknowledged member of the militia movement, Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The bomb ended up killing 168 people, many being children.
This influenced the technological growth of the United States of America by opening the eyes of law enforcement and public officials to put sensors and cameras on federal buildings and create better security systems.
