Ty Howard once said, “To fear change is to fear being challenged. To fear being challenged it to fear growth and new possibilities.” Technology is evolving every single day. It is constantly changing the way you do your everyday job. It allows humans to do more in smaller amounts of time. At the age of 17, I alone have witnessed a flip phone that could barely call anyone evolve into a thin, touch screen device that can answer almost every question you have with the click of a button. Technology is changing the way jobs are done and what skills are needed to complete the job efficiently.

That being said, it is vital that employees keep their skills up to par with the evolving technology. If you do not know how to use the technology, then it is no good to you (Dukes). Research has shown that technology has allowed law enforcement to achieve more in a day 's time than before. The software available for law enforcement has improved incredibly over the years. Law enforcement currently has access to tools that can trace a face or fingerprint in seconds ("New Research Shows Impact Of Technology On Legal Field"). That face can then be sent through a scanner that could possibly tell you where a person is right that second through a GPS. In addition, there are apps that you can download on your phone that are made for law enforcement purposes. Some apps are made to help police officers. One app is called Police Spanish Guide. It is free and can be downloaded onto your Iphone or Android. The app translates to the suspect everything from a basic traffic stop to domestic violence situations (Roberts). There are also apps that help people when they are in danger. An app called SafeTrek is an app made to help you feel safe while walking somewhere that makes you uncomfortable. The user holds down a button on the screen of their smart phone. If they let go of the button, your phone asks for a four digit passcode that was previously set up. If you type in that code, the app knows that you have made it home safe and sound. If the four digit code is not typed in, the police are contacted by SafeTrek and sent to where you are. Technology can also replace jobs in law

Richard Louv does an acceptable job of explaining this in a passage from "Last Child in the Woods." He creates a cocktail of ideas and rhetoric alike to form a well thought out analysis of evolution of technology, mainly one of a car in his, versus the nature that surrounds us and a simpler time at that. Richard Louv begins his passage with a detailed version of advertisement.…

Texting has become the main form of communication, so when kids get home, how can they look at each other in the eye if they just text?
