Part I: Use of Technology for Curriculum and Instruction (Proficiencies B and D)
Technology integration in curriculum and instruction encompasses usage of such of technology tools as internet, education software applications, computers and mobile devices in learning processes and in school management (Cennamo, Ross, Ertmer & International Society for Technology in Education, 2014). Over the past few years, technological application has been on the rise leading to better education delivery, proper resource management and production of skilled graduates. Notably, all aspects of curriculum ranging from labs, classroom, grading systems require integration of technology to ensure learning is effective and productive.

In regard to students, they should not plagiarize resources found on the internet and claim ownership (Armitage, 2012). This promotes creativity, independence and research from young age among the students. Additionally, students are required to read and understand terms of use and consequences accompanying any violations. For instance, students may be barred from using the internet for a week if they do not observe a certain policy. Moreover, students are directed to visit recommended sites to ensure there is zero exposure to damaging contents on the internet or other irrelevant material during class time. For instance, students should not check on football scores and entertainment in classroom. Moreover, student should not chat or use Instant Messaging tools unless they are permitted by their teachers (Kemerer & Sansom, 2013). This ensures that student maintain focus on the subject taught in class. Generally, there are policies across all schools barring students from playing in the computer rooms and or misusing computers. For instance, students should not disconnect cables or mishandle computers and other technology
