Technology has helped humans attain various prestigious accomplishments. It helped us land on the moon, improve our standard of living and made the world more connected. Technology has made our lives easier, but as technology increases, we start to abuse it. Our perception of technology is changing rapidly. As technology is becoming more social, invasive, and dangerous, humans are becoming sluggish, idiotic and dependent. Currently, most software and websites are solely created, so people can communicate easily with others. According to the Pew Research Internet Project, 79% of adults use some type of social networking sites. These sites help us to exchange our ideas and opinions in our homes. However, prior to the 20th century, people had to go out to interact with others. Inventions were made mostly for the protection of the …show more content…
People are losing their jobs because they are distracted by their phones. Human distraction cause industrial accidents and injuries. Modern technology will cause individuals to lose certain jobs, since modern technology does the work better and more effective. Although it is expensive for employers to install robots, once the robots are installed they won’t have to make many expenses. There are no sick days, paid days or vacation days for robots. Currently, robots are analyzing documents, filling prescriptions and other works that were once solely done by humans. The principal reason that technology is becoming dangerous is because we are becoming increasingly dependent on technology. We rely on it for basic grammar and arithmetic questions. If our phones, computers cease to function even for a minute, there will be chaos. We expect these devices to work at all times. It has been proven that electronic devices have an influence on the organization and the biochemistry of the brain. This can affect our personality, behaviors and
