Technology Effects on The Youth
Over the past ten to fifteen years the world has been a part of a the fastest growing technology of our time, over the past decade or two it has impacted our lives more than ever making just about everything just one click away. The way technology has evolved has been a very helpful thing for us although it does make things a lot easier on us it could be effecting the youth in a negative way.
Growing up as a kid in the 1990’s and growing up as a kid in the 2000’s has changed dramatically, with the improvement of cell phones and computers has opened doors for inventions such as tablet computers that were introduced in the early 2000’s by Mr. Bill Gates and Microsoft which later was the start of a whole new world of PC. Another scary example which is most importantly to most is what if your kid think he’s
Martinez2 talking to Johnny from gym class when really on the other side of that screen typing is a forty-five-year- old pedophile registered sex offender trying to meet up with your kid after school. All these are the downside of technology on the youth, I feel like it is best to limit the time your child spends on these devices and on the internet instead of throwing them your phone because they can’t stay quiet.
Although the advancement of technology has led to some down effects there are few goods that has come out of it. Everyone learns differently whether it is hands on or repetitive hearing, the new generation of kids are very spoiled but these new devices such as computers and Ipad/tablets could influence kids to learn and pay attention more. For example, a kid reading a book from a novel while at home could be extremely boring and may cause the kid to not focus on the reading, but if the book is on a colorful screen with their favorite song playing in the background that may increase their “want” to
