Technology Close Friends

Have you ever had homework or a project that you need to research information for? You could shuffle through hundreds of books at your local library, or you could find all the information you could possible need in a couple of clicks. Technology has evolved tremendously over the years and for our benefit. Google, for example is an internet search engine that allows you to find millions upon millions of information, images, and more in a couple of seconds. Though some say technology is making us think and learn less, benefits of using it are more social support/close friends, it lets us work anywhere, and we get more research/ information. Technology brings more social support and close friends because of the connections you have over the internet. Married or single, you have barely any isolation. The article, Social Media as Community states, “…found that the average user of a social networking site had more close ties than and was half as likely to be socially isolated as the average American.” This quotes states that even if you don’t have many relationships outside of the internet, you will have good ones through the internet. Technology is a new gadget in our life and we use it to expand our knowledge and to have nice relationships. Although we work less for the information, it is only to help us and make our lives easier. Imagine having to dig through shelves and shelves of books only to find a couple on the topic you’re researching. Meanwhile, you could have used the one and only technology to find anything and everything on what you’re hunting for. Who knows, maybe decades from now there will be something new but for now, the benefits of our technology are
