Why Technology? Technology has become one the greatest innovations worldwide. Maybe the real question should be, however, whether or not it is helping with the teaching and education of society today. Technology is readily used in most schools today including elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. However, it may not be all that it is cut out to be; corrupting youth and classrooms all over the world. Students are more tempted to cheat, become easily distracted with music and games, unaware of how to write papers, the less effort that is put into teaching a class by teachers, and even they way they are learning has changed significantly. Affecting many schools throughout the years, technology has eased its way to students learning techniques. Tablets, for example, are being issued to students for school work. Which, required by teachers, for students to take all of their notes, finish homework assignments, and even take specific tests on their tablets. With this being said, cheating is made easier for students. While taking a test, a student can flip from screen to screen, without the teacher noticing, and receive answers to the questions by going to any search engine. Even with homework, now a days, students are able to, if they are lucky, find the entire assignment online with the correct answers. When comparing more modern …show more content…
Many students take advantage of having technology that is brought into the classroom. Focusing is hard for anyone who has games sitting in front of them or even a miniature television that they could watch any time that they want to. When a teacher has notes up on the board and is giving a miniature lecture and expects kids to take notes on it, they have the urge to play games versus listening to the teacher, but the teacher may never know that they were playing because it is a requirement to take notes on the
