The use of electronics has become more and more prevalent within the past 20 years and has caused a social shift in our society. While many argue both cases; that being, technology has great benefits, or that technology has very little to no beneficial factors. Personally, I believe technology and the use of electronics have been beneficial in many ways, but it has also caused a major shift in the ability for people to socialize and connect with other people on an emotional level. There are so many electronic distractions such as televisions, cell phones, computers, and mp3 players, which contribute to a non-social movement.

It has bridged the gap between those that are unable to see their loved ones due to distance. I have also used electronics for the advancement of my education. Online college courses are one of the greatest tools to help single mothers, working fathers, or kids who cannot afford University tuition to get the same education as anyone else. With that being said, I believe there needs to be a proposal to stop allowing the use of electronics to dominate our lifestyles as it so evidently does today; restaurants could have signs posted to encourage human interaction around the table and to remind parents to lead their children by example by not being on any electronics at the table unless there is an emergency, in which case to excuse yourself from the table. I think Americans need to stand up and make change when it comes to how we utilize our time with electronics. If we keep this trend going, then 20, 30, even 40 years from now, our children and grandchildren will have no social skills in which to communicate. It 's something that is guaranteed to happen unless we make a change. And that change needs to start with you, and

With games like Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty becoming some of the best selling series in the video game industry; selling around over 250 million copies, (McWhertor, 2016; United States Security and Exchange Commission, 2016) people wonder how much impact video games have on in our society and how much influence they have on our behavior.
