Many would choose entertainment rather than stimulation because the excitement is expeditious. Researchers worry that constant digital stimulation, creates attention problems for children with brains that are still developing. Attention problems that affect their lives in the long run, these kids, our teens are the next in line to run our country, but how can they with a phone in front of their view? ( From a NY times article) It was conducted by Vicky Rideout, a researcher who has previously shown that media use among children and teenagers ages 8 to 18 has grown so fast that they on average spend twice as much time with screens each year as they spend in school. The time our children, our teens spend on their devices weighs heavily on their education and cancels out what they have learned each year. Engaging in National shut down our screens, week would help their schooling gain the attention it isn’t receiving. Students are losing their way, becoming more socially isolated, competent, and detached from learning, as they dig deeper into technology's grasped.
