The world we live in has constantly evolved through technology. Schools around all nations are becoming more advanced every century that passes by, and with it, students of all age groups have technologically progressed. Classrooms and teachers have become more accustomed to technology. Therefore, grading, homework, and even exams are being assigned through the World Wide Web. Technology comes in many forms in the classroom. What seemed impossible nearly a century ago is now available in the touch of anyone’s fingertips. Correspondingly, that means more opportunities for every student from first grade to college. Having said so, are electronic components an educational breakthrough for college students? Or has technology fostered more negativity then positivity? How has technology really changed colleges and universities? What are some of the key factors that really come into perspective when these computers and other electrical devices are being used? Laptops, tablets, and cell phones are essentials that many students own that are very common, however, these devices have the ability to make anything possible to the user. Sophia Harris states that “the society of today has become quite reliant on technology,” (Harris 2) in her famous article Pros and Cons of Using Technology in Your Classroom. In a way Harris is right, technology, especially cellular devices, are being used so much that students have grew so accustomed to them everywhere they go.
