Over the past two decades since the explosion of technology and the internet there has been a drastic change on how the world works. Messages and communication can be sent all with a tap of a button. Everything seems to be getting smaller and faster as the world continues to develop. Back then things were not as simple as they are today, if you wanted to send a message it was through snail mail or a phone call that involved a lot more than just the tap of a button. This development has led to an increase in access to other cultures, yet has led to an interesting change in the way people interact with each other in person. People may argue that technology is great, and it is but it not only has changed how the world works but how people work …show more content…
Yes, technology is great and makes life a little easier but there is negative effects. Because of this children are living in a fantasy online world and are being disconnected from the real world. As adults we probably are not all setting the right example either when we can’t even put our phones down at dinner or any social gathering. We have to find ways to be more involved in children’s access and limiting it. Not just to protect the children but to help them use the technology in a smart and productive way. The sooner and younger they have access to all this the more they are going to want of it. We now rely on it so much in our everyday lives that we don’t realize the effects it has on us whether they’re good or bad. Technology is great because it helps us stay in contact and in communication but that’s all virtual, what about real life? We have to think how this is going to great affect the children of this generation and the generations to come! Will we be smarter or just have something that is going to be smart for us? Limiting this access is going to take lots of time, work and commitment that many are going to have to try and put a lot of effort in to before it gets out of hand. Our future is only as great and as bright as the children who will be running it
