Is Technology Making Us Feel More Alone Research Paper

Today in our modernized society having technology around us is a necessity. It allows us to connect to loved ones on the other side of the world and let us know events that are happening. So, how is this technology making us feel more alone? Technological devices such as laptops, mobile phones, cameras, iPads, televisions and much more were created to help us stay connected. But, is this really happening? people are continuously reducing the importance of talking to others because they would rather spend hours looking at a computer screen rather than looking into someone’s eyes. Technology is just an illusion, making us feel loved and more important in this world when really, it makes us lonelier because we are not having real face-to-face conversations.

Nowadays parents can’t entertain their children without giving them an iPad and instead of spending quality time with their little boy or girl they would rather scroll down their facebook and look at blank names on a screen. They tell us that nowadays technology is making people more alone and it can make you isolate yourself from the people that matter like friends and family. We all know that technology is great for keeping us up to date with the latest news and information but I truly believe that technology is getting out of hand because we can’t even have a two minute conversation with someone without taking out our phones. This planet that we live in has now turned into a robot world as our lives revolve around technology. Nobody is social anymore and children that are born into this world right now will join this modernized technological world where nobody will dare to speak to each other in public as they think this is the norm. This needs to stop right now. I advise everybody to put down their phones and computers and live their lives the right
