Now in the twenty first century technology has been a big change in the world in a good and bad way. As the dominant species over other animals technology could really hurt what we have become because we are so dependent on technology. Like any animal technology does not affect them and they still could do things for long amounts of time unlike humans where there attention spans has decreased. Technology is not only affecting humans personally but environmentally as well which is affecting other animals. When nature comes into the picture technology effects everything. In my Navajo culture it is said that we were made from mother earth and father sky and the animals were on this earth before mankind was with that cultural story that is why the Navajo people take animal sacred such as the most powerful ones like the eagle we depend on the eagle to give strength and soar and protect the people. Although we eat different animals and use the skin and feathers from them we believe that animals are sacred and are no better or less than a human because they have more spiritual healing than any human has. In the reading by Rebecca Solnit titled The Orbits of Earthly Bodies, “really, it is about how you define nature. I think we have tended to define nature as things to look at and think we’re natural when we’re looking at nature, however unnatural our own circumstances at the time” (Solnit 108). Nature is a beautiful and a natural thing and what makes it more beautiful is the animals and humans that are a part of it. Just like the Navajo culture animals are sacred because without animals the world would be way worse than it is
