Technology Affecting Teens

I have conducted a survey asking about today's technology and what today's youth thinks about it. All the participants were between the ages of 14-17 years old. The purpose of this survey was to see if teens were able to acknowledge the truth about what technology has truly been doing to today's world. I hypothesized that most individuals would say that technology has helped more than hurt us. This is because this generation has grown up with the developments of technology and its benefits. I predict that most of the students if not all will say that technology is very helpful because my generation has become attach to it and do to this they will not see the downsides to it.

The included participants in this study were 20 Edwardsburg High school students. The participants included 9 males and 11 females. The way answers were collected was my random selection. Participants were selected at random during a passing period and they were asked the question. " Is technology helping or hurting us?". The participants gave a simple one word answer and the answer was recorded with a tally mark in a piece of paper.

Technology, and its effect on the world has always been argued to be both a gift and a curse. A large majority of those who were born during the Baby Boomer generation and other skeptics have argued that technology has been a derailing gift almost like a paradox and has enacted people to become brainwashed contributing to devolvement.
