In November, everyone is not only thankful for the turkey, but also thankful for black Friday. This is because everyone wants to get the latest phones and other devices. Society has fallen into a trap of technology that they can’t escape from. No matter where you go or live, technology is present everywhere. Every month there are many different devices that come out into the market. Technology has affected society in negative and intersecting ways. For example, part of today’s society has become less social with the rest of the world because of phones. Another negative issue is that many people are dependent to their mobile devices. But, it has also made many people in society addicted to the use of social media. Most of the time social media isn’t all that real from reality. For example, many celebrates will use social media to post about their fabulous lives to regular people with not so fabulous lives. This can result in many regular users to feel insecure and unconfident about themselves because they feel that their lives are not so great. This can be a problem because many of the cell phone users that spend time on social media are mostly young teenagers. If this young generation are being bombarded by perfect people they are going to feel the need to become someone else to be accepted by society. In conclusion, technology has shaped and affected society in many negative ways. Society is becoming more anti-social with the overuse of cell phones. More and more people are becoming dependable to their mobile devices because of all the valuable information it has on it. The use of cell phone can lead to insecurity because of social media and its users. This needs to change because this generation will end up becoming lonelier.
