The extent of technological innovation and ideas continue to steadily and rapidly increase, and its changing every industries as it evolves. In the healthcare field technology is increasingly playing a role in almost all processes and procedures, from client registration, to data monitoring, to patient to doctor communications, sophisticated smart phone watch trackers, even to self-care tools. Technological breakthroughs are revolutionizing and changing the way healthcare is being delivered. Modern technology has changed the structure and organization of the entire medical field.
Technology like smartphones and tablets are starting to replace your conventional run-of-the-mill monitoring and recording systems and are being swapped with more sophisticated and up to date technology. Many people are now given the option of undergoing a full consultation from a doctor or physician in the privacy of their own homes. Technological advancements in healthcare have contributed to services being taken out of the confines of hospital walls and integrating them with user-friendly, accessible devices.
According to a Research and Markets report at the end of 2012, 2.8 million patients worldwide were using a home monitoring system.
