Technology is commonly seen as a hindrance to human abilities and a medium for breeding laziness. Advancements in technology have improved various areas of life that directly affect labor, productivity, organization, and also communication. These advancements are also constantly impacting greater structures in society: Government, Economy, Manufacturing, Industry, Advertisement, Communication, etc. Mechanical, artificial intelligence drastically speeds up labor, but has the potential to decrease the value of human ethic, ultimately raising the question, “What will the human race be when technology completely takes over?” Jobs seem to be falling victim to automated systems, when these systems are truly creating opportunities for various, …show more content…
Socialization grows much simpler with the use of smartphones and the ability to call others. Everywhere people go, they are able to send a thought or plan in an instant. With ease of communication, scheduling appointments, conference calls, trips, meetings, etc. can be scheduled from miles away. The use of technology doesn’t only increase convenience of chatting, but also helps to increase the fun in socializing. People are able to message, share photos, and post to their peers through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat (Wortham 394). These apps create fun and interactive interfaces that allow humans to mingle with one another and to meet others from foreign countries, something that could not be done without the boost of mobile devices and the internet. The simplicity of contacting others during any time of the day plays a key role in creating bonds. Bonds are strengthened as humans are able to talk to one another, at any time, through text, video, and chat messaging. Speaking with another person through means of technology reduces physical tension and awkwardness and allows people to relax more while conversing with their peers. Technological advancements provide humans the privilege of communicating with ease, while also upholding a balance in crucial portions of life. Electronic appliances and automated machines and robots organize fields of Medicine, Communication, Government, Financing, etc. Without the use of technology, nations risk becoming greatly unorganized and isolated from possibilities to grow and expand. In a society, humans and technology can coexist without overwhelming one another and with limitations. The choice of whether technology completely takes over does not take over is within the hands of the humans creating it.
