Technological Advancements Of European Advancement

Technological advancements of European advancement are the caravel, astrolabe, cartography, printing press, and magnetic compass. The caravel was first created because the main problem with the ships was it was nearly impossible to cross 3000+ miles of sea and return. By creating a more studier sail, with a triangular shape, the ship could ship could safely sail against the wind. Another invention was the astrolabe; a brass device with lines and rings that would help sight stars. This allowed the user to calculate the longitude or latitude. Another way to check the direction you're going is using a magnetic compass made by Chinese. A method to draw maps is called cartography. This can be drawn and sold faster by using a printing press.
