According to James. R Linder (1998),what makes a person with the impulsive need to act is called a motive. One of the main factor which drives an individual move towards their personal or organization goal is motivation. Motivation comes in many different forms depending on different people and as such, different people’s method of motivation or their motivational ideas may differ from another. The society feels that remuneration is the only motivator to keep employees and workers motivated. Indeed in modern days, workers and staff often dread going to work due to the same routine that they will face in their everyday life. The days will then turn into weeks, and the weeks then turns into years. Remuneration are referred to as financial gains …show more content…
(2002) stated that it can also be classified under two categories - intrinsic or extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation refers to the individual working to strive for their personal sake and satisfaction rather than for other reasons. Intrinsic motivated people are usually people different from the average human, as they are people who seek joy and fun in what they always do and are constantly challenging themselves. Whereas, extrinsic motivated individuals are people who work towards a different outcome like rewards and bonuses.
