This is a simple knob that a chimpanzee could operate. Then again, a chimp has flown a rocket into space while I have not. You get the idea. Use the XLR connections to exit your studio D/A converter and then continue to your studio monitors. Place the nicely weighted knob within reach at your mix position and twist away like any self respecting audiophile would.
