Team Player Research Paper

When there is a sports team that is made up of players who work together and are willing to make sacrifices, it will produce a winning team. This group of individuals will have to work as one to achieve that goal. A winning team consists of many things, such as teamwork, leadership within the group, and a goal the team strives to achieve as a unit. A team with players that think about others and support each other will perform better than a group of individuals that doesn't play as a team. This is why in addition to working on physical skills, it's also important to learn how to play with others.
When there is a large amount of kids on a team, not all of them will want to work hard and put forth their best effort. Every individual has a duty on the team; everyone is depending on each other to perform in the spot they are at. This then means every individual needs to work in the offseason and become better at his or her certain position to be relied on in certain situations. For example, if the individual plays basketball, he will need to sacrifice his body to dive and get the ball. As well as on the football team, he needs to make sure to block the man, even if the defender is twice his size, he sacrifices his body so his team can score. When the individual scarifies his time, he is giving a part of himself to the team and being loyal. He gives his time by being at every practice, by working in the offseason, and instead of watching movies or wasting time on his electronics, he is watching film and learning his defenders. To be a team player the individual has to sacrifice for the win.
